N2  - Ninety six percent of the obsidians in the valley of Guatemal originate in either the El Chayal or the Chimaltenando source systems. To an established hydration rate for El Chayal obsidian, one for Chimaltengo is added, thus expanding chronometric control to most of the central highlands of Guatemala.
