<br/><br/> A critique of the methods of locational analysis used by Carmack and Weeks at the Maya site of Chisalin Guatemala is presented. The applicability of the "nearest neighbor" statistic to this densely occupied hillop site is questioned, as is its use to discriminate architectural groups.
