N2  - A base del análisis de una "consulta" sobre las entradas a Mojos y otros documentos investigados en el curso de un proyecto sobre historia cultural de los Andes Orientales Bolivianos se describe como el mito de El Dorado o del Paytiti sirve a los intereses de distintos grupos de la sociedad colonial temprana, entre ellos de los Jesuitas de Santa Cruz en los albores de sus famosas reducciones misioneras. En este contexto se presenta una evaluación de la llamada crónica de Alcaya y de sus indicaciones sobre la expansión incaica al Oriente desde el "Fuerte de Sabaypata"; O On the basis of the analysis of a "consulta" about the expeditions to the Mojos región and other documents collected during a research project on the cultural history of the Eastern Bolivian Andes it is described how the Dorado or Paytiti myth serves the interests of different social groups of the Early Spanish Colony among them the Jesuits of Santa Cruz in the begining of their famous Indian Reductions. In this context, an evaluation f the so-called Alcaya chronicle and their indications on the Inka expansión to the Eastern Lowlands is discussed
